The Sliver/Four Hour Couloir - Day 3 with Zahan

The master at work
Day 3 of the Z's Avy course was the best yet.  For the 3rd day in a row I was reminded of how much I don't know...

Today we headed up Shadow Peak with the hopes of skiing the Four Hour Couloir and possibly the Sliver.  We figured we'd head to the base of the Sliver, evaluate and then decide.  After digging for a while we felt the stability was good enough to head up reevaluate.  We wallowed, dug around and found ourselves at the notch feeling pretty good about the conditions.  It wasn't quite as light as yesterday but no one complained.

Once out of the Sliver we put a short skinner back to Shadow and had another couple thousand feet of Teton chute skiing.  A predawn start on day four should lead to good things.

These guys were SO happy.  Back on Shadow Peak
