I finally met up with Chase to ski on Timp. He grew up in Sundance and has skied most of the mountain so it was good to pick his brain a little. We ended up starting in Dry Canyon and heading up a SW face adjacent to the Everest Ridge. The climbing firm and about as easy as you can get. We sat around on the summit ridge for a little while before we got impatient and then skied a mix of frim/froozen, corn, and powder back to the car.

Everest Ridge in the background the SW shot we skied behind Chase. Even farther in the background is a smelting pot (who knows what it really is) bomb going off in the inversion. |
